One cookie is not a binge.
One cupcake is not a binge.
Two or three pieces of cake is not even a binge.

A binge is when you stuff cereal down your throat just because you NEED something to eat that you can get down in huge quantities FAST FASTER FASTEST, as if this was a race where anything but first place will lead to the realization of all your worst nightmares. (Except the binge itself, of course. That’s a nightmare all its own.)

A binge is when you eat until your stomach is distended, and the skin stretches so you can see ribs you couldn’t see before you started your gluttony; when you eat until your whole abdomen, your whole torso, hurts; when you can’t even straighten up because if you did the pressure in your guts would be too unbearable; when you can feel the liquids and food trying to shove their way back up your esophagus because you can’t fit it all in; when even all this sometimes isn’t enough to stop you. You just need one more bite… no, two more… threefourfiveten…

A binge is when you ravage close-to-empty cupboards frantically, looking for anything to shove in your face, even stuff like brown sugar from the bag, or full-fat peanut butter in huge tablespoons straight from the jar, or some hideous peanut-butter-Quik-syrup-brown-sugar-artificial-vanilla thing that you mixed way the hell up with the biggest spoon you could find and are just eating because it’s so high calorie and disgusting.

A binge is when you eat things you don’t even WANT, don’t even LIKE, because you NEED to be terribly, hideously full so bad.

A binge is when you eat even though you don’t even REMOTELY want to eat, because your biology screams “MORE MORE MORE” and you scream “NO NO NO” and it just happens anyway and you can’t even begin to stop it.

So fuck you and your one-cookie binges.
You haven’t got a fucking clue.

So you fasted yesterday? Lost 1 pound? AWESOME :) Oh .. you gained it back today :/

So you took some laxatives last week and lost 3 pounds?! That’s awesome! Oh .. you gained it all back.. :(

YOU LOST 20 POUNDS BY ONLY EATING 200 CALORIES FOR 2 MONTHS?! THAT IS FANTASTIC! Oh you still have that flabby stomach?

Wanna know why you’re not looking better? Wanna know why you’re losing weight but gaining it back so quickly? Because what you’re losing is just weight not fat. There is a difference between weight loss and fat loss.

Losing weight could = loss of MUSCLE, loss of FLUID, loss of FOOD weight, and only a little bit loss of actual FAT.

Losing fat = Oh.. just that losing fat.

Fact: Muscle takes up less space.

Why would you want to lose muscle? When you lose muscle you’re not going to have that flat belly you want.

Why go through the pain of laxatives only to lose food weight? .. it’s not your actual weight!

What you should be focusing on is fat loss. Because that’s what you want to do right? Lose fat? And if you want abs, you won’t get them if you’re losing muscle but depriving your body of what it needs.

Your body needs energy. Food provides your body with energy. If you don’t give it food, it will find a way to get it from your own body. First thing it goes for? Muscle. Not fat, muscle. So yeah you lost a pound! But you won’t look the way you want.

You want to work all your muscle, you want to provide your body with protein, complex carbs, fiber.. all that stuff. You want to lose fat! The proper way to lose fat is to eat the right amount of calories, eat the right foods, and work your body out.

Also, cardio is the only way to actually burn fat. Not sit-ups or crunches. Cardio.

If you’re eating right and working out your body will use fat and carbs for fuel and not your muscle. When you step on the scale and lose 5 pounds, it won’t be food weight or loss of fluid. It will be fat.

This post’s tone is a little bitchy, but it’s SO true.
